The world outside your door isn’t yours to control. Your home is.
In a market where “cotton” doesn’t always mean cotton.
India’s home linen market is still largely unbranded — which leaves shoppers with a hard choice: pay too much for genuinely good linen, or settle for something affordable that doesn’t last. Worse, quality is easy to fake. Plenty of listings say “cotton,” “cotton-like” or “glace cotton” and ship you polyester.
We spent years on the other side of that market, developing the real thing for the biggest names in the business. The Happy Pod is us fixing what we always wished existed: honest, premium linen, clearly labelled, fairly priced — so you never have to gamble on your own bed again.

We’ve spent our whole lives in cloth. The Happy Pod is what we always wanted to make.
Textiles run deep in our family. Through the 1980s and 90s, the family built the Santogen group — one of Mumbai’s well-known textile houses of its time — spanning spinning, weaving, finishing and export, right down to terry towels. Sandeep grew up inside it, and went on to spend eight years running the family’s terry-towel manufacturing, until that chapter closed in 2008. We learned the craft the long way — on the mill floor, at the loom, in the finish — and the hundred small things that separate “good” from “just okay.”
So we opened another door: Noya Lifestyles. For the better part of twenty years we developed and supplied towels and bed linen for names you already know — retailers like Reliance, Westside, D-Mart and Metro, and brands like Raymond and Bombay Dyeing. Their standards became ours; in 2015, Westside named us a Significant Contributor in the Home category at its Supplier Partnership Meet. We learned, at scale, exactly how good linen should feel and what it takes to deliver it honestly, again and again.
Then the world changed. Through the pandemic years we watched how people lived shift for good — more time at home, more of life on a screen, and a quiet new longing for a space that felt calm and truly theirs. We also kept running into two stubborn problems in the Indian market: genuinely good linen was expensive, affordable linen wasn’t good — and too many sellers blurred the line, calling polyester “cotton” and leaving shoppers to find out the hard way.
We realised we were holding the answer. The same product development that served the big names could serve you directly — real quality, no inflated claims, at a price that’s actually fair. So we stepped out from behind the scenes and built The Happy Pod.
The world today moves faster than ever, and so much of it is beyond anyone’s control. Your home shouldn’t be. It’s the one space that’s still yours — and helping you make it feel exactly that way is the whole reason we’re here.
